Michael Chalmers is an interdisciplinary visual artist and photographer.

Analogue-digital interpolation, cyanotypes, instant film, coding and animation techniques are frequently used within his work.

He typically captures photographs on film and employs his modest darkroom to process and manipulate works.

Chalmers’ work examines memory, death, mental health, gender, skin conditions and the artist’s process.

Michael Chalmers was born in Edinburgh in 1986. He earned a BA(hons) in Visual Communication from Edinburgh College of Art in 2010.
